In the Morning of 17-June-2013
In morning my mother waked me up asking to run outside the hotel as the manager was shouting that "run out hotel can collapse at any time and you have to stay in hotel at your risk". And what I saw is in the below video.

By seeing this I was worried about the guys who were there in parking because this was our parking Area which was converted in a river and all the vehicles was covered in 20 meter deep mud and rocks. You can find in video that it was not the water in the flood but it is the mud and rocks flowing like water and here comes the story of a woman with her 8 year old daughter whose bus was flooded into the river and also other stories of different people which I will discuss in my other post. Again but with god's grace nothing happened to our vehicle because it was parked in hotel . One of the front line hotel collapsed into the river. And after 3 to 4 hours the whole parking was covered by 30 Meter mud and was looking like a big ground.
And also the road connecting kedarnath to Sitapur was damaged from the middle, so no more vehicles can reach here and it was like we cant move neither back nor forward. So you can say we were trapped there and no electricity because there was no fuel to run generators and over all no mobile signals.And below are the pics displaying the road condition.
One more sad news came from our nearby hotel . There was a group of senior people all aged above 60 came for Char Dham yatra. From them 3 peolple died by heart attack after watching the flood in the morning.
Other problem was of food there were no rate hikes in lunch platter (of 70 rs)but quantity was decreasing
daily.but on next day the shopkeeper decided to give lunch in free and it was from the last storage of grains.

18-june-2013 Sitapur kedarnath uttrakhand
In these two days we haven't seen a single policeman or any help from government. On 17 June we saw some helicopters moving from phata to kedarnath temple but they were also from private services . and some local people told that government is conducting meeting in dehradoon and in those 2 days we heard the same.
From Sitapur to Phata
In noon of 18th the road was cleared and we moved towards the phata here we seen many disasters scene . some are displayed below.
So Now we were moving in a queue of more than 2000 vehicles making a traffic line of more then 3 Kms. But after moving few kilometers the traffic line stopped and we found our self trapped between traffic vehicles and Phata was still 2 kms. After few hours we came to know by local people that again a hill near Phata was collapsed on road and will be cleared once JCB machine will reach from Dehradun.
Here we were unable to found even as small tea stall with in 2 kms from our car. So finally we realised we were struck in a big traffic line and therefore we decided to go to Phata to have dinner walking. But we found huge rush in Phata and there was a waiting of minimum 2 hours in every hotel for dinner and hotel owners told that there is no guarantee of food even after waiting. Any how we managed to get some chapatis but for night stay no one fulfilled our wish of a single quilt and we decided to go back to our inova at 1 AM. and slept in car for the whole night and in morning around 8 AM we walked to the place where the landslide was . There we saw JCB machine was not working because of no fuel so after some time a Private JCB machine replaced it and tried to clear the road but after sometime it was in same condition no fuel. So now we have man power and machines but no fuel. But there we saw a revolution a man took 2 litter bottle and filled it with his personal vehicles fuel tank by seeing this all present there done the same and now the road was clear and we can move to Guptkashi.
When we passed through Phata we seen the rescue operation conducted by military.
Then we moved to Guptkashi with all the traffic . and to reach there we have to pass through TEHRI DAM it was looking like many seas joint to make this dam to huge. Please look at this dam.
and there we got a camp which was for KEDARNATH VICTIMS (Dont think any thing else it was also not from government agencies). And here they are providing with tea and some refreshments and also giving free tickets from Haridwar to Dehli. After reaching Guptkashi we again got a bad news that the main bridge connecting to Gupatkashi is has damaged due to flood and we have to move from alternate way which was not at all ready to wear this heavy traffic .
Now this was the worst part of our journey we left Guptkashi at 7PM and it took 24 hours to cover 30KM distance . Here we have 10 feet wide road in which one side is deep river and other side is rocky mountain from which rocks are coming down and no place to pass the vehicle so we are forced to move with traffic.
Any how we reached Rishikesh and found that the river Ganga has done much here also.
Here we came to know that all the peoples sleeping on the bank of holy river Ganga was buried under 10 feet sand bought by river and many were took by the river. The pic below displays the bank of river ganga at Rishikesh.
And nothing new in Haridwar here also we seen the same disastrous pictures as we have seen in kedarnath
This was the natural calamity it cannot be stopped but it can be minimized by good governance not only by government by also by the temple committees they are ready to take all the money of pilgrims but on the name of facilities they will charge for water also. If the char dham temples join to make good roads they can do it alone without any help from government .Below are the some pics of Haridwar HAR KI PAURI
So here in Haridwar we took rest in a hotel and planned to go back and we missed Badrinath because it was also in our list to visit but thanks god that we are still alive there were many time during our journey where I thought that this is our last movement and now we are going to die. Seen many people suffering from different reasons . some searching dead bodies of there relative , some waiting for a call from there relatives.
